Who writes these pages, how they are paid for, how we keep the shelves current and where to send a correction.

Who writes and checks these pages

A few independent writers who make buying guides for marketplace shoppers keep the Lookout going. We read UIDBuy's public pages, help center and estimator ourselves, read the product catalog shelf by shelf, and write what we found with the date we found it. We do not have a UIDBuy account with orders on it, so we do not claim to have tested the warehouse with our own parcels; where a page says "in practice", it means what the official pages and screenshots show.

The independent notice at the top of every page, the one in the footer and this one say the same thing on purpose: this is not UIDBuy's site.

Independent of UIDBuy in ownership and money

spreadsheetuidbuy.com is not owned or operated by UIDBuy, Xiamen Chengyuxin Technology, Jianxuan Life (Hong Kong), UK UID Technology, UK ZAN Technology or anyone else named on uidbuy.com. UIDBuy did not ask for this site and does not review it.

We have no referral or affiliate code with UIDBuy. Sign-up links carry a plain tracking tag so UIDBuy can see the visit came from here; that is all. Links to the product catalog carry a similar tag, and their link markup flags them as sponsored because the catalog is a partner of ours. Nothing on the shelves is paid placement.

How this spreadsheet is kept current

Each shelf points at a live category of the catalog, so the items you see there are always that day's. What can go stale is our layer: the sample listing on each group page, the dated route quotes and the UIDBuy facts. We re-read the shelves and the samples at least monthly and replace dead samples; the route quotes are replaced when they are more than two weeks old; and we re-read uidbuy.com's fee, storage, inspection and return pages when we do. Dead links are fixed when we find them or when you tell us.

Every change that affects a fact or a number goes on the updates page with its date.
